Coach Prosek has been teaching Physical Education at MCHS since 2001, currently teaching Cardio-kickboxing and Outdoor Ed, and co-sponsoring the Junior Class Committee. In the Fall of 2024, Coach Prosek will be in her 10th season as head coach! In 6 seasons as head coach her overall record is 224-101. Team 23 finished winning Regionals and falling short in sectionals. Team 2019 finished in the Elite 8 with a record of 32-8. Team 2017 finished 39-3, and finished as Illinois State Runner UP Class 4A Champions. In her second season, Team 16 finished 35-7 and also finished as Illinois State Runner UP Class 4A Champions. Marking Minooka's first ever Final Four State Appearance and finish in Minooka's History. In her first season, 2015, she finished the season 28-11, Regional Champions, and making it to Illinois "Sweet 16" in the State Tournament.
In 2015, Prosek coached at UNO VBC and was the UNO 17 Elite Boys coach, winning an Open bid for USAV Nationals and then placing in the top 12 in the nation. Prior to this, Prosek was the UNO 14 Elite girls coach for three years, winning two American and one National bid to the USAV National Tournaments. From 2002-2009, she was owner and director of Adrenaline Boys Volleyball Club and the Head Boy's Volleyball Coach at MCHS from 2002-2005, winning Minooka's first ever Boys' Regional Championship.
Before coming to MCHS, she was a Grad-Assistant Volleyball Coach at University of Missouri-KC (2000-2001). She began her first teaching and coaching position right out of college at Joliet Township High School as an assistant for the girls and boys volleyball programs from 1996-2000, and then took over as Head Girls Varsity Coach in 1998 and 1999, winning two Regional Championships. Coach Prosek played volleyball at Charleston Southern University in South Carolina as an outside hitter her freshman and sophomore seasons and then as a middle hitter her Junior and Senior seasons. She was selected to the Big South All-Conference team all four years, named Big South Freshman of the Year, honored with the Big South Presidential Awards (1992,1993,1994), MVP of CSU (1991,1992,1994), CSU Senior Female Athlete of the Year (1994-1995 school year), then Inducted into CSU Hall of Fame (2004). In 2013, she was one of ten inducted into the Big South Conference as player of the Decade for the 90's and currently still holds records at CSU and the Big South in Digs and Blocks per season.
Coach Prosek is married to Mike Prosek, who played for Lewis University. They have three daughters; Joslyn, attends Jacksonville University where she plays D1 Soccer, Sydney, who will be a senior, and her youngest daughter a sophomore, both at Joliet West.
